About a year ago, I was depressed as fuck. I did fuck all except drink like a fish everyday.
I finally got myself out of the house by starting to do food deliveries. It was a productive endeavor and also a healthy one. The money was also decent.
You know what would make any delivery person's day? A tip.
It's not in our culture to tip, so to receive one was a major blessing.
The tips weren't super big, but they were rare and hence that made them valuable.
I remember an elderly lady at the door tipping me $2. I thanked her and went on my way. I was really happy. It made the entire session worthwhile.
And this I learnt, was true abundance. You attain this form of abundance from doing the actual work.
It was only a couple of bucks, but I felt so blessed. Why? Because I did the work.
If I gave you $2 tomorrow randomly for no reason, you would probably be like, "Err.. thanks?"
"What the fuck can I do with $2? Buy a shitty coffee?"
And the angry train of thought travels on and on.
You can't deny this is how many people in a modern society would think.
You want abundance? Be humble and get to work then.
This is for people out there who are going through depression or just lost in life.
It doesn't have to be big work either. Just get out there and start on something. Don't overwhelm yourself by comparing yourself with others out there, otherwise you may be trapped into thinking you need to make big money fast. Be humble, start again and do your best.
