What keeps me going (thanks)

What started out as a simple marketing research turned out to be one of the most inspiring moments of my life.

If you’re on my list, I sent out an email a few days ago asking the following two questions:

1) “Why do I come to visit Alden’s blog?”

2) “What is the most important thing Alden can help me with?”

I was expecting some straight forward answers, but instead, a lot of you expressed your gratitude towards me and this blog I created.

Here’s what some of you had to say…

“The reason I would visit Alden’s blog is because he is one real muthafucker”

– Jean-Pierre

“Because every time I read something of yours, I get uplifted or inspired and it keeps me coming back. Don’t stop your work!”

-Andrew Raper

Hi Alden! I visit your blog because although I keep listening people say: “live your life”, “enjoy every moment”, “it’s your life do anything you want”, I haven’t met anyone yet that actually follows their own advice. You live your life based on your beliefs, that makes you real, and that makes me think “well… maybe not everyone is full of it”.

So this post goes out to you all, the reader. From the bottom of my heart, I thank you.

I gotta tell you it’s been extremely tiring and sometimes overwhelming when learning about business and marketing and also how to write better. Learning to know how is extremely easy, but getting results is a whole other story.

But, I’ll be here. Always.

    Hey Alden,

I’m new to your site and this is the first post I’ve read. I thought it was awesome because it gave me a sense of the kick ass community you’ve built here. I hear you on learning the ins and outs of blogging and marketing are overwhelming; I just launched myself into the Blogosphere just a couple of days ago and it has been an eye opening experience to say the least. Anyways, it’s inspiring to hear that established bloggers also share these feelings at times. I look forward to reading more of your stuff!

      Hey Brett,

Yep! It’s actually a good thing to share your growth, your evolution. That’s how you let your personality shine. Note: Personality, NOT your USP or positioning.

KEep at it. It’s going to be a challenging, but fulfilling journey.

    Hi Alden,

It is great to hear that your readers are so supportive of you. I just found your blog on Google and from what I’ve read, you are very honest and put your personality spin in each of your article.

As a new blogger myself, I am still learning to put my voice and let my personality shine through every time.
