So where were you on the eve of 2013?
I was in the states.
But no, there was no wild party, no hooking up, no drinking or even watching the ball drop for me.
I was merely with my family, watching the countdown on TV.
Now here’s why it was so awesome:
Even though it was just a simple thing where we gathered in front of the TV, my cousin made sure that everyone was in living room together. I remember being in the kitchen trying to find something, and my cousin rushed over to pull me back to the other room.
Besides counting down together, popcorn was prepared and everyone had a glass of bubbly…
… grape juice.
My little niece and nephew were around, so yeah.
But it was all good, because right after the countdown, they contributed much to the throwing confetti, made of plain paper in the air.
That was my new year’s eve. That was all I needed.
It’s the little things you know?
The little things do matter. They go a long way.
[tweetherder]The little things somehow create the best memories in your life. The little things create who you are. The little things matter a lot. [/tweetherder]
Never forget about the little things. Never sweat the small.
Take a small step now. Do something today. However little it is now, it will be bigger later. Sooner or later, you’d have done many great things.
Here’s to your 2013.
