Another milestone for this blog!

Hey wassup guys,

I’m kind of excited and psyched about this new post I’m writing up.

Alden-Tan is currently about 9 months old now, and so it’s about to give birth to some new aweomeness.

And that is being recognized!

I was interviewed for another website at Kent Ridge Common.

The owner of the site is a friend of mine and he was the one who approached me asking me for this interview. Apparently to him, I’m a “standout graduate who had the guts to follow his passion”.

It’s an amazing feeling to be interviewed. I love having my ego stroked. Really. But seriously, it’s a big thing for me to know that somebody notices you and actually wants to find out more about you.

If you’re interested in finding out what my thoughts are on being a college graduate and my journey as a Bboy, Blogger and a bouncer, click here!

And now for the bigger one…

I was featured in Ryze’sĀ 13 Badass Blogpreneurs You Need To Check Out ā€“ Now post!

And I wasn’t even asked or told beforehand about it! Fucking amazing!

Blogprenseurs, love that term. A blog is a business, if you treat it as one. These 9 months have been frigging amazing. I learnt so much about aspects of blogging and things about myself.

For real.

It’s pretty awesome to be recognized like that, knowing that people have faith and confidence in you.

Have I not said before as long as you followed your heart, good shit will manifest?

You just got to believe in yourself.

And truth be told, sometimes I’ve trouble with that.

The owner of Ryze does.

He practically gives me unlimited email support and sheds so much positivity in my work that sometimes I just wonder about the goodness in people. It’s fucking intriguing.

Maybe you don’t have positive people around you. Your boss sucks. Your so-called friends are annoying. You’re always worrying about money and stuff. I don’t know.

But you know what? If you chase your dream, like I’m now, people will eventually recognize that, and they start to believe in you and give you all the props you deserve.

You just need to give it a try.

This new milestone means a lot to me. Can you feel it? I ain’t going nowhere.

Who would’ve thought Alden Tan, the Bboy Blogger who has the dumbest jokes ever, actually be featured and stuff?!

See you guys soon.

Alden, dude, you’re definitely here to stay, and grow. You’re going far.

And now lemme share something important:

    LIFE is a TEAM GAME.

We can’t do it without people like you, either. I need bold people, who are able to be honest with themselves, and who invest in themselves. That’s who I help, and you’re definitely that.

I offer a different kind of coaching, and I volunteer my time wherever I’m called, and I know you’ll do the same thing for someone else.

    That’s how we roll.

    Ryzing stars represent, yo.

      Thanks Jason!

You’re definitely on my team and I’m glad to have you in it!

I’d definitely pay it forward. No where else to pay eh?

Congrats, love to see people “Ryzing” to use Jasons words šŸ™‚ I’ve no doubt we’ll see a whole lot more awesome coming from your direction.

I first came across you through your session with Danny Iny, glad to see that things are rockin for you. You’ll be seeing me around here more often šŸ™‚

Thanks Jackie! Thanks for dropping by.

Love your blog too. Always nice to see another blog who’s not afraid to use the word, “ass”, which strangely, a lot of adults avoid. Their choice I guess!

Lol the session was epic! That was a milestone on its own!

    Hi Alden,
I just read your guest post over at Pick the Brain and thought I would stop by and check out your blog. You seem to be rockin and rolling here, so good luck to your online future.

    • alden - June 1, 2012 3:13 pm

      Thanks Justin!

Well, still learning! Going all the way for sure šŸ™‚

  4. Denise - June 4, 2012 5:03 pm

Congrats on the continued success, Alden šŸ™‚
Your posts have a very genuine feel, like a friend writing a letter to another friend – that’s the appeal of it for me. Keep ryzing šŸ™‚

    • alden - June 4, 2012 6:55 pm

      Thanks Denise!

Yeah that’s how I write! I write as if I’m talking šŸ™‚ Some don’t appreciate that though šŸ˜›

    Hey Alden,

Congratulations on the interview and being recognized over at Jason’s place. I know what you mean when people start noticing you. I mean it’s like the best feeling in the world. Here you are sitting over here just doing your thing and people are popping in from all over the place checking you out.

I know for a fact that if you keep believing in yourself then all your dreams can come true. Once that doubt starts to creep in your screwed. Just keep believing and you’ll go very very far. Can’t wait to hear all about it too.

Hey, congrats again and enjoy your week. Make it a fabulous one!

      Hey Adrienne,

      Thanks for dropping by!

Yeah man it feels good to know that you’re actually working for something.

I know what you mean šŸ™‚ I always say, as long as you follow your heart, good things in life will manifest on its own.

And I certainly can’t wait to blog about the milestone of making money šŸ™‚

Have your say
