17 things you need to stop saying to yourself

1) “I wonder if I’ve an update”. Because constantly checking your phone, email, Facebook, Twitter or whatever is a waste of time. There’s not going to be a meaningful update every minute.

2) “I can’t believe that happened”. Because it already happened. Get over it. Move on.

3) “I’m mad because I assumed that…”. Because assuming is dumb and mostly creates false bullshit.

4) “I can’t”. Because you can.

5) “I’ve no self-confidence”. Because saying that only makes it true. A simple shift can change all of that.

6) “I want to kill that guy/I’m going make her pay for it”. Because anger hurts nobody else but you. Because you should think rationally before you do something stupid and get in trouble.

7) “I’m not good enough”. Because that’s a lie. Nobody is ever good enough when they need to start somewhere.

8) “I’m not smart enough”. Because it’s also another lie. Don’t bother doing shit you aren’t naturally good at.

9) “I’m always busy”. Because busy is bullshit. It’s an excuse. Make that time if you know you can.

10) “I’ll do it later”. Because you probably won’t. Stop procrastinating. Feel fucked up and do it anyway. Get shit done now.

11) “I’m not good enough for him/her/that”. Because you’re good enough. Don’t ever let some other person or thing doubt you for they’re inaccurate crap. Just try.

12) “I think love is a lie”. Because you shouldn’t let others or the world itself take away the one thing humans are good for. Love. Because you shouldn’t turn into a cynical bitch.

13) “I’m right. I’m not wrong”. Because being right doesn’t necessarily bring happiness. Being able to say, “I’m happy” is tons better.

14) “I’m not as good as the rest”. Because you should stop comparing. Everybody has their own special challenges. Forge your own path.

15) “I’m a loser”. Because this is just hurting yourself.

16) “I feel so alone”. Because even though you feel that way, there’re others going through the same or gone through it before. You just don’t see it. Chin up bitch.

17) “I’m useless”. Because that’s defying your god-given bodily senses, your living, breathing heart, your working brain and your eyes which has allowed you to read this over the luxury of the internet. Still think you’re useless?

I have communicated with Alden just a day ago about a particular sticky situation I find myself in. I believe he is really in the healing game. Muchas gracias Alden you seem to go into the field to meet the wounded.

    Good list =)
Btw.: People who think ‘love is a lie’ obviously never heard about Price’s equation, or the theorie of evolution in general xD
    So screw them ^^

Nice post, through every advice empowering.. and then spoiling it with that ‘god-given’-crap.
    That’s true irony.

An advice telling people not to use a god or religion to shrink or enlarge their success should be at number one. – Because it’s you and your choices, not any god or religion, who dictate the path toward your success and happiness.
