100 things life is too short for

    • alden - June 25, 2012 5:32 pm

This is the most aggravating to me. Pisses me off. But I’m learning to let go. No point fuming at a bus stop.

I just “Stumbled” upon your site and I think you should add one more thing to your list…Life is too short to only listen to your peers.
I am 66 and most of my friends are much younger, no one thinks I am this age and are surprised when I remind them. Physically I can feel it but mentally I project much younger and I credit my kids and grandkids for turning me on to their music, online sites and other things that keep me young.
Good luck with your site – I will check in often 🙂

    • alden - November 11, 2012 2:22 pm

      Wow awesome! 66 huh.

I think that’s really inspiring. Age, as a number is nothing. What counts more is the life you make in those numbers.

Awesome list Alden! Yes it should be law to change your hairstyle at least once after the age of 30 – if you have any hair left that is! Only question is no.74 – that burger in no.68 may lower our age expectancy but hey its worth losing a minute or two surely for that taste and the smile it gives you – which may just increase your life expectancy – everything in moderation – just try to do EVERYTHING!!

    • alden - August 4, 2013 8:54 pm

hahahah. For sure man! But I love my burgers.

  12. Jane - July 27, 2014 2:31 pm

Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. I am copying this and keeping it as a reminder to myself and others. I am dealing w/some crazy stuff in my life now and this post is helping me sort it out to realize what TRULY IS important in life now.

  13. Gerry - August 12, 2014 4:03 pm

    Yay tattoos!
Go ahead! Approach that hot guy or gal at the bar! Yes, I hear you thinking, “But what do I say?”
Be truthful. Say something like, “Hello, I noticed you and find you quite attractive. May I buy you a drink? What would you like?”
That’s it. Short, sweet and simple. If he or she is interested, they will be happy for you to buy them a drink, or a soda, or tea or whatever.
Cut to the chase. Like the ad says, Just Do It.

Thanks, Alden! This has inspired me to get off my chair and make the telephone call I have been putting off!
